Saturday saw me preparing curry for a Saturday night with Peter and Rose...all under control...tandoori chicken and chani dahl..Madhur Jaffrey style -too easy...except...the end of the dahl recipe you add hot chili powder. I snipped the top off the packet and sprinkled the chili powder in, admittedly from a bit of a height..at the same time I was inhaling. I truly nearly died. Dropping the packet of chili powder on the bench I switched on the extractor fan which helpfully spread the toxic cloud within seconds to the lounge where Di and Dan were watching a movie. I have heard of death by chocolate, but death by chili???
